Looking to pop the little chrome covers off the HID washers to make them easy to paint, I've had a go, but feel like I'm gonna break them
Anyone done it before?

Never pulled one off, but seeing as they tend to fly off when they are activated at freeway speeds, I'd say they just clip on.

I'll see what I can figure out, in the meantime if anyone has some hot tips

I wouldn't mess with it in fear of making it more likely to be lost.
They cost $110 a side to replace, and that's WITHOUT the replacement clip.

Why are you painting them anyway? If your painting them black, the MY07+ looks awfully sad with the covers missing and painting them black will make it look like they're missing....

Might all match up better when I get the black and silver plates?
I love the black grille but feel the washers need to match

Nah. It'll make it look like a chunk of the headlights is missing. Abort mission.
