When I say customers, I mean one particular alcoholic piece of shit who was the first customer this morning. He got the shits because I literally said "Good morning mate, how are you today? How may I help you?"

 

He didn't like being called mate and had a massive rant, borderline shouting at me, at how I am not his mate and blah blah blah.

It's been ages, wouldn't mind going again sometime. Pretty sure it would have changed since my last visit.

Ex and I are now sorting through 19 years of accumulated stuff. I need a fkn skip for all this crap.

 

Good news is we are cracking jokes and laughing while we do it. We think we will do divorce far better than we do marriage.

Will the divorce be official? I only ask as Jess' parents have not been together for MANY years before they made it official only a year or two back. Without going into too much detail their relationship was nowhere near what you are experiencing at the moment with regards to doing things together, talking, cracking jokes, etc.

I don't see the point in prolonging the inevitable. We are both committed to the fact that it is over and we both need to get on with our individual lives, as well as the new life we will build for the kids.

There is a certain financial security that goes with divorce, like an insurance policy if it all caves in. The ex is a lot further down the road in terms of the decision and getting on with life, I have catching up to do in that respect but I am ahead of her with the financial side of the split.

 

Just need to wait for the dust to settle.

Just need to keep a 'hand off' approach to my single female mates.

Ha ha, you've got a really positive aura coming from you despite what's happened Jase. Take all the punches life throws at you and find the right time to throw the knockout punch back. I know you may have heard it from everyone you know but stay strong, stay true and have your kids as the priority. I haven't gone through it myself like I've mentioned before but from what I see with my girlfriend and her brother, children need to be the first priority over any of the other financial, personal and emotional crap.

 

It's not an easy road but you've got the support behind you to carry you through the storm. It'll settle.
