Since its launch in 1997, Subaru’s Forester has known for its drivability, comfort, and off-road capabilities. According to the philosophy of Subaru, an SUV should be useful and versatile, easy to use, fun and also comfortable on long journeys, even in difficult conditions.

A true combination of style and power, the fourth-generation Subaru Forester hides a powerful performance beneath its stylish exterior. From the lower and quieter, revised turbo diesel Boxer engine, to the dynamic range of both petrol and diesel variants; the new Forester engine is committed to increased performance, with a reduced carbon footprint.

Diesel CVT
Enjoy plenty of get up and go with Forester’s turbocharged horizontally-opposed Boxer diesel engine. Now available in CVT with manual mode or 6-speed manual transmission and in two variants; Forester 2.0D-L and Forester 2.0D-S. The 2.0-litre four cylinder turbocharged Boxer diesel is a spirited performer producing 108kW of power at 3600rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1600rpm-2400rpm.

Whether you’re exploring the beauty of the coast or roaring down the freeway, the Boxer diesel engine means less stops and more fun. Enjoy the weekend adventure - one tank of diesel is all you need to get there and back again. With outstanding fuel economy, and an extraordinary driving range, the Forester diesel is capable of travelling over 1,000km** on a single tank. All while caring for the environment, by meeting EURO6* emissions standards.

Less noise, more power
A car that is truly about matching luxury design with powerful driving capacity, the impressive engine performance of the new Forester is at the core of its appeal. Sitting lower and flatter in the engine bay, the famous Subaru Boxer engine is designed to create less noise and vibration to the cabin, whilst the lower centre of gravity improves stability and traction on the road.

The new Subaru Forester offers a powerful variety of petrol and diesel engines:
The Forester’s petrol range includes a 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine, which produces 110kW of power at 6200rpm, and 198Nm of torque at 4200rpm, with only a 7.2 litres fuel consumption per 100km1.
The Forester 2.5-litre petrol engine provides more power with 126kW of power at 5800rpm and 235Nm@4100rpm of torque returning fuel consumption of 8.1 litres fuel consumption per 100km1.
The Forester 2.0XT and Forester 2.0XT Premium feature a 2.0-litre direct injection turbocharged, four-cylinder DOHC petrol engine with Dual Active Valve Control System for sports performance and high power output.

Go further with the Forester turbocharged, 2.0-litre four-cylinder DOHC Diesel engine, capable of travelling over 1,000km** on a single tank. You will still be caring for the environment by meeting EURO6* emissions standard, with a standard fuel consumption of 6.4L per 100km*.

Reduced emissions
Subaru may be All 4 the Driver™ but we are All 4 protecting our environment too. The new Subaru Forester boasts excellent fuel economy and low CO2 emissions across the range, with the entire Forester range complying with the strict EURO61emission standards.

*Tested in accordance with Australian Design Rule 81/02.

**Based on a highway cycle of 5.7-litre/100km (2.0D-S CVT) and fuel capacity of 60L in accordance with ADR 81/02.
