Interior looks great!

Isn't there a drain plug on the tank ?

Not sure how you clean out the nasties, though..

Big +1 here. Those seats look brilliant. Very cool. The flexible tune is a great idea!

And sorry to hear about the fuel pump hassles :-(

Bugger me mate what an update!

Car looks mint. Boot before and after is chalk and cheese!

Now I want to remove the interior and do the same sort of treatment in the cleaning department. But my project has stalled with the move and new job :/

Water in the tank will sit on the bottom as fuel always floats. The best way to empty the tank is to remove it to get everything out of it so you know it's all out. That's also a great time to clean out any other crap in the tank ;) and you'll be able to clean the underside behind the tank too ;) win win!

Keep up the good work. Super jelly. My project looks like a 2018 goer at this rate :( A running engine is my hold up...

Cheers

Bennie

Well It's been awhile since i have done a update on the RS...

I have had surgery on my left ankle, right one will probably be in late November...

Also we have had a new addition to the family with the arrival  of my third child a little boy...

Anyway back to the RS before all of the above happened I acquired some Hard Race rear control arms...

Attached File  IMG_1849.jpg   213.96KB   4 downloads

So i Installed these here are some before and after pics....

Attached File  IMG_1850.jpg   163.09KB   3 downloads

Attached File  IMG_1851.jpg   157.79KB   3 downloads

Attached File  IMG_1853.jpg   170.71KB   3 downloads

Attached File  IMG_1852.jpg   153.81KB   3 downloads

So with everything installed it was off to Road2Race for a wheel alignment...

He did a great job, and went over all of install work of all the suspension work which was a great bit of piece of mind, recommended him to anybody around the area for that type of work...

It was top notch....

Back to now...

The next things that I'm working on 4/2 pot brakes and some Alloy front control arms...

Pics to come on those things...

So that is it for now, here is a pic of the RS just because who doesn't like pics....

Looking good.

Congrats on the kid aswell!

R2R sounds like the place to be for suspension and alignment, I follow him on FB and he seems fastidious.

Congrats on the new arrival!

And that suspension looks neat ;)

Did it significantly improve handling once it was all lined up?

Cheers

Another little update....

Something that has always bugged me was when I got a new windscreen put in they broke some clips and the rubber seal around the cowl got destroyed...

So I got some clips from partsouq to fix that part then I went to Clark Rubber to see what I could find....

Turned out pretty good here are a few pics....

Under the cowl was a bit dirty...

Another little update...

Finally acquired all the parts to sort out the sloppy shifter...

Got some Cobb poly front and rear shifter bushes, GC8 shifter linkages and short shifter and a new new shifter knuckle...

Putting them in was a bit of fun, the poly bushes were pretty easy. The shifter knuckle on the other hand put up a bit of resistance with those two cotter pins, with a few kind words they final came out...

They all went in pretty easy and I have got to say it is one of the best things that I have done to the car so far, the shifter feel is so much tighter and the throw has improved by about 40mm....

So much better, I also finally got around into fitting the GD STI shutters surround and leather boot, this was the first thing that I bought for the RS way back when I got the RS...

It really is one of the best things I have done to it so far, anyhow time for some pics...
