In short I have a EJ20tt in my car getting 17Psi. When my clutch went (Just from wear/old), I replaced it with a HD exedy. Due to the car getting just onto 200k, the syncro are a little worn. I think we can see where this ended up, yep with me sad.

Just wanted to ask about option's for a daily driven car.

-Second hand, cheap but dont know of condition.

-Rebuild the box I have

-Other suggestion's or place i can take it to.

Or if anybody has a 1st to 3rd straight cut gears. As even tho it is a daily i plan to do a few track days, and traffic isnt that bad up here.

Bit of a thread dig and dunno where you've gone with this one.

Replacing synchros are difficult to start with.

You will find that gears come in sets - 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th.  Unless the straight cut gear sets come with a helical 4th gear in the set.

If you do a synchro replacement you might as well gear up for replacing all the bearings.  You will need a press of some sort ;)

Cheers
