G'day all,

This doesn't really fit into the for sale section so I thought I'd drop it in here - it's not my vehicle but I thought someone would be interested:

http://www.ausubaru....ead.php?t=26266

I haven't seen this vehicle on the Ausubi forum for a LONG time!

I know I've got the I wants - but I definitely can't!

I hope it goes to a good home.

Cheers

Bennie

Hahaha. Whack in some new apex seals, she'll be sweet m8.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

There's a 78 brumby with v4(5?) STi conversion in that forum too. $20k though, bloke's about $10k too high I reckon.

Dunno if it was started regularly or just left to sit... Apex seals, easy enough to do in an afternoon :P

Dunno - I reckon he's about right - just needs to find the right buyer. It too is one of a kind. Finding a fugly ute body in that condition these days is almost impossible.
Then there's the engineering done to fit the EJ - not the same as a brumby or L series as the chassis rails are narrower from what I understand. Add to this no off the shelf EJ brake kit like the MYs and L series so it's all been fabricated to make it work.

There's a build thread of it - or at least a detailed account of the effort put in that I remember reading YEARS ago - I'm not going to search for it as I'm on my phone and it's a pita.

Personally I'd probably offer 15 depending on an inspection if I was in a comfortable position to do so...

It could be for sale for some time yet...

Also Andrew_T in WA is currently documenting his H6 lifted L series build in the restorations area if anyone's keen for a read ;) That thing would be off it's tits - even before you got it offroad!

Cheers

Aye, you might pay $15k but I imagine you'd admit to being something of a subie enthusiast. So if someone who understands the details of the effort thinks he's $5k over...

H6 L series sounds like serious good times to be had. Then lifted, then blown at ~7psi of course :o :D

I didn't say it's not worth 20k - just that after an inspection that's what I'd offer - gives me room to move. But this is all a hyperthetical anyway so the point is a bit moot.

I dunno that his wife would like that. Afterall she's the one that'll be piloting it daily - bit of a waste if you're asking me!

I've enjoyed seeing my mate with this car, I guess he's decided it's time someone else enjoys it.  I know it goes like the clappers for an NA Gen 2 ;)

AM Auto Al's old H6 converted Gen 2.

I can't find the pic atm - but it's great to have a drink at - especially when it was lifted!

It's sold now ;)
