I have just been on a Ebay shopping spree,

I have bought a OBDii cable with Usb connector,
and a car charger for my Netbook, (got it for a steal, all up 70 bucks)

it comes with some scanning software with live readings of all sensors etc,

Not sure how good the software is yet as i havnt seen any screenshots,
just wondering if anyone has done anything like this, what software
are you using?

Is it hard to set up? im assuming the cable connector is under the steering wheel
somewhere, can someone point me in exactly the right direction?

Planning just to set up the laptop for it everynow and then until i install
a car pc setup later on...

Let me know if it will even work or not, link: http://cgi....dll … SA:AU:1123

Will post up some pics when i have it delivered...

(re-post from ozfail because the title didnt show up, f**kin stupid site)

Not sure about that one in particular, but a mate of mine has the Bluetooth version of this and loves it...

Little bit expensive but apparently the software is great and works a treat.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Should be all good mate, I've got an obdII to usb cable that plugs straight into my laptop from wich i can check codes and do logging. I use EcuEdit, but you can get free software like RomRaider which will log and check codes aswell. I'm not sure if it will work with the device that you have bought but you could try as its free.

If you do decide to try RomRaider let me know and I'll see if i can get a definition file for you, as you will need one for logging also have a look here >>>> http://www.subyclub....hp?showtopic=58
