Shaz - is there a way to get NAB to upgrade my CC to a qantas/Amex card without having to pay the annual fee?

Yep, call em and tell them you wanna be sent one of their auto-upgrade letters to a platinum card, but without the cost of a platnium card.

 

Or, just spend a shitload on it a few months in a row and they'll do it automatically. 

 

I have a platinum qantas card, with no annual fee and 6% interest.

We're on a sweet deal where our fee is massively reduced, I think wife had it before they brought in new fees.

 

CBA won't charge us fees for their Black, but it's shit on the lounge access.

 

Might need to upgrade my Qantas FF.

yeah they gave me a platinum card, was just thinking about getting the amex qantas card. gonna be doing a bit of flying in the future, alot with qantas so thought it would be good to rack up some frequent flyer points on my card for some upgrades
