I realised this while making a fail pic

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.
It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

I'd feel like such a c**t for asking them to do something like that. But if they do - great! I'm really wanting that cable now....
You should do it yourself you lazy f**kJust pull the f**ker out, how hard could it be!
i'll have a look this arvo... but i dunno...
it goes under the carpet, up the side of the car, under the steering column and then coils up behind the HU...
i'll have to remove at least the HU so i can get the coil out from behind it...

Nah man, don't risk f**king up your H/U before you embark on this long trip. See if AM can do it, otherwise I'll come over and we'll do it together once you get the car backi'll have a look this arvo... but i dunno...

Late 90's Fireblade under $8K
Early 00's Fireblade under $12k
Nick
Fireblade is a CBR1000RR.
Slightly NOT learner legal...
I've seen mid 90's 450's go for around 2-4k.
2005 CBR1000rr's are making around 155hp at the rear tyre in standard form. They only weigh in at 156kgs.
It's very easy to pull another 10hp out of them too.

Hmm...I was thinking of the CBR900RR but not much difference to the 1000 in terms of legality. But Fireblades are my sort of bike, mate had one in Harleqin paint, they are rockets. But like you've said before Paul, they're cheap and fun, but you have to go through all the licensing rubbish which takes forever......
450 would be an ace investment though, until you're on your opens.

So you can run it on 6psi with an rx fuel pump?

IIRC The fireblade is only the 1000RR. Lots of people put Fireblade stickers on other CRB's but I'm fairly certain that its kind of like putting a GT badge on GX.
I could be wrong, but I've got a sneaking suspicion that, that is in fact the case.
I think the 450cc's are good for around 60/80hp.
If its fun your after, a tidy 400cc bike will be far quicker than an NA 4banger. Of course you do have the added risk.
But then so does punting a car through the hills.
(Bikes are lots of fun on a track!, Ambulances are always close too. Fun AND cheap!)
I was talking to Petar a little while ago, and he knows of a way to get a 600 or 1000cc bike learner legal.
IIRC they basically lower the rev limiter, so that the bike is incapable of producing the power. (Which is VERY on/off on larger engines.)
For me this would be an attractive option, as it allows you to purchase a nice bike to start with that you can get used to.
The Licensing scheme is a tad different to what it is for cars. You do need to do a practical course, but I think the Learner period is shorter (12months?)

Close Paul, it's CBR 900/900RR/954/954RR/1000/1000RR which are Fireblades, any CBR below 900 is not classed as one. QLD bike laws limit engine capacity for Learners to 250mL, so no rev limiting will help (unless there's some sort of loophole, haven't really read too far into it).
And the QLD learner period is under 6 months, you need to hold a Car licence for 12 months before applying for RE, and practical courses will lower your learner period.

Restrictor in the intake I think Paul. Strangles the engine back down to legal output levels!I was talking to Petar a little while ago, and he knows of a way to get a 600 or 1000cc bike learner legal.

Are all VIC licence regulations based on engine ouput not engine capacity? Because if I'm correct you can have turbo vehicles but not above 200kW on P's. Where as QLD's is a Turbo/V8 blanket. And as I stated Learner bikes have to be 250cc.Restrictor in the intake I think Paul. Strangles the engine back down to legal output levels!

VIC rules are based on a power to weight ratio I think. Same for their car restrictions. No idea how the cops cope with that though...Are all VIC licence regulations based on engine ouput not engine capacity? Because if I'm correct you can have turbo vehicles but not above 200kW on P's.
