Fisheye looks cool.. but very limited..

and Subaru- I got the Nikon D60.. good little piece of gear

D60 is nice! I was looking at that too, but given I am a complete beginner in the the DSLR world, I opted for the D40. Got a 15-55mm lens and a 55-200VR lens. Wouldn't mind getting a macro lens and a nice sturdy tripod... Oh, the remote control would be nice too.

So many options, so little money to spread between the car hobby and the photography hobby!

Fisheye definitely has its uses. Have too many fisheye photos consecutively, people will want to start slitting their wrists. :P You guys should have gone Canon. Much better lens lineup. :) Granted Nikon's CLS off-camera flash system is superior.

well.. my D60 was a gift and didn't cost me a cent :) hehehe

got 2 lenses with mine, and I hear that the Nikon lenses are better than the canon, as the Nikkor Glass is the shi*!

Not really. Nikkor lenses don't have USM unless you go for some really expensive high-end glass, and as a consequence you got slow and noisy autofocus (bit like a Honda :P)

edit: I may be wrong about the USM.

Hahaha.. Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda!

You're just feeling nervous cos it's two Nikon's vs 1 Canon!

I was so close to going for the EOS DSLR, but ended up with the Nikon for it's pure simplicity and user interface. I've found that my Nikkor lens have been great and the AF os nice and fast and sssshhhhhhhh silent.

pfft :P

Ultimately they are just tools for a job... each has their pros and cons.

Let's not talk equipment... let's talk results! :D
