I think the LC Torana's got them and the LJ got the 202 or 3.3ltr engine. Could be wrong though.
No Idea WTF that engine is in though. Doesn't look a thing like a torrie engine bay.
Hahaha, Alex. About $$$$$$$$$$$ more R&D in the granpa Skyline there though. F*cking nice motor though, what kind of power did they achieve?
Is it an L26 or something like that??
Holden just went," hmmm we need a race motor. Here's the daily shitta, just whack some big f*ck off carbies and a cam in it. She'll be apples."

oh spaff
I had no idea how good those things sounded! (Tripple big assed carby ??)
That engine bay pic is from this,

a prototype called the GTR-X, built by Holden in 1970 with Torana LC GTR XU-1 running gear. Never built, but got as far a producing sales brochures etc.
Linky = 404, Richo.
XU1 = 3.3ltr inline 6, tripple SU carbies. (or webbers in race spec I think).
The put out around 175 - 200hp way back in 1971. So whats that equate to??
135 - 150kw??
thats a 186, or 3.0ltr.

PBOaS, your pretty much spoton. LC XU-1 (1970-71) ran a 186ci (3.0lit) red motor with triple 150cd stromberg carbies and the LJ XU-1 (1972-73) ran a 202ci (3.3lit) red motor with triple 175cd strombergs.
Race cars for 1973 used up to triple 58mm webbers with one choke in each carbie blocked off.
Yes, a triple carby inline six sounds hawt!
Cheers
J
BTW the red V8 LJ doing the burnout has been owned by the same bloke for over 25 years and he fitted the 308 in the late 80s.

what's up with this week off? Those old red motors are she shizzle. Got like 20 at school that we pull apart from year 11 auto. Get to start them up with slightly out timing and stuff. Sounds tough. Flames and all
.
So like, whos got this week off?
we had an old mazda at school. we used to disassemble/reassemble it.
well. until one of my mates broke into the school and pumped helis on the front soccer fields.
then there were no more cars/bits/pieces to disassemble!
but i did get top of the class in that class.

product to fix a cracked or chiped winscreen???

Never used it mate, but it looks similar to what O'Briens e.t.c. use for their glass repairs.
Give it a go! For only 30 odd bucks what have you got to lose apart from a bit of glue in an already busted part of your windscreen?
