That's an evil rate, Shintz. Evil.

Mine is around 18% but I get 55 days interest free on all purchases. I don't put anything on there I can't pay off within that period = only every paid around $30-40 in interest in the 2 years i've had the card.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Yeah, all those cards come with 55 days interest free as hams said.

Realistically, if you have a look at other banks credit cards, it isn't really that high. Especially for a qantas gold card with frequent flyer points.

edit* My staff card is awesome. 5% interest ongoing, double frequent flyer points at all times and no annual fee, with 66 days interest free.

Win

Get that 28deg card. Costs you nothing. I got it before the honeymoon so we could use it in Thailand. Doesn't cost you anything...

Dad put me onto it after doing some research on it. He seems to apply for a zillion CC's for no reason

Hams - Check this out http://www.nab.com.a...l_finance/5/1/3

Good account for overseas because you dont get charged foreign currency conversion fees or overseas ATM fees.
Plus if you're going to a few places with different currencies, you dont need seperate cards.

28 Degrees card Terms and Conditions:

Spoiler

In short, they charge to make repayments, charge you an exhorborant interest rate, charge you more then the interest accrued in late payment fees/overlimit fees, then get charged interest on interest if you don't pay it on time.

Not a bad card, but not the best.

edit** And its with GE, who are the most shittest financial provider in the world. They have SO many hidden fees and charges its not funny.

Is not this:

pre-paid Cash Passport stylez.

It's only going to be rubles US dollars and maple leaves Canadian dollars.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Avoid GE like the plague. actually I would rather eat a bowl of warm plague than take out a CC with GE.

That Gold account is much better then the Cash passport.

You will need a seperate one for Rubles and a seperate one for Maple Leaves.
You also dont get travel insurance with the Cash Passport, whereas the NAB card has it built in.

And purchase protection insurance

And extended warranty insurance

And insurance insurance.

edit** Also, FYI with GE: I got one of them interest free harvey norman cards to purchase some ****.

Paid it off in 6 months.

2 years later, i get a letter saying they are going to start legal proceedings because i havent paid anything, and my interest rate was accruing at 31% per DAY, until i paid it in full. They put a default against my name, and also tried to take me to court. My original amount of $3000 increased to $5000, and then 31% interest per day.

AND ITS STILL GOING ON!

I have a case with the financial ombudsman and everything.
I fscking hate GE with a passion, and will NEVER get ANYTHING with them, nor refer anyone to do anything with them.

Lucky i have all the receipts of payments and a conversation log of every single lowlife debt collector that called me, along with voice recordings and everything.
