Nick,

Did you get done for the tints? Or did he just say "They look a little dark?"

I told him they came with the car, and that I wasn't sure of the darkness, but previous owner had told me it was above the 35% threshold.. He reckons they were well below the threshold and that I was lucky to get away with it that night, cause he didn't have some gun or something to see how much light passes though.

Doesn't matter, the tints are doing what they want them to do, and that's to look dark.

Good to hear you didn't get done. People rarely do.

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

defected for his system.

You kind of know me, homie. I agree they are cracking down everywhere, for silly things. But the bottom line is, those silly things are against the law.

Does it make it less of a crime because you've stolen a stick of gum instead of a DVD player? To you it might, to them, it's all the same code.

Why didn't he just pull the tint card and check? Or is that only a WA thing?

Tom, posting aimlessly about **** noone cares about is on the same plane as me amalgamating your crap into one single area of the thread. Game on, kiddo.

WA Thing. Our police are a little more technologically advanced and use a visual light transmittance reader.

Its like a tint card, but with more LEDs.

Yeah, totally understood, they were doing their job. But they were real assholes about it too, weren't overly friendly, nor approachable about anything. Don't get me wrong, every other time I've had a good chat with the officer and have normally been friendly. But these cops were real grumpy *****.

Sorry gents, long day, been at school since 7, and left at 6.30pm.. meanwhile mum is in hospital bla bla bla.

looks like eastern suburbs police are on a defecting rampage at the moment.

was on a cruise with a few mates, we weren't doing anything stupid at all, and 5 of us got pulled over by 2 cop cars. they checked over all 5 of our cars, by about 4 officers, looking all over the car including the engine bay etc.

one mate was done for having LED footwells, another for not displaying his p-plate properly, another for balding tyres, another for a missing brake light, and another for HIDs.. (which are only 6000k).

cop warned me and thought my tint seemed "too dark" (20%) and was also saying my car may be too low? i was lucky to be let off, but all my other mates got $86 fines and one of them had to have his car towed because his break lights were out and it was deemed "grounded"..

also heard of another bloke in my area "GONDEF".. some numnut in a shitbox charade who got defected for his system.

I went on a bit of a cruise on saturday night and cops were all over us. Gave us some warning when we weren't driving at one stage and then as we left, two or three highway patrols pulled a couple people over. Big crackdown they said! Ga y

Just don't drive like a tool, don't have ridiculous mods and don't just in cruises which involve P platers or Commodores and you'll be fine. :D

Never.

Literally, never.

I've been pulled over once, and that was for speeding, and she let me off, bought my excuse when I said I thought the speed limit was 80, when it was 60. But I was talking about those RBT stations and such. My mate who drives a VL is not so lucky, he's been pulled up 4 times in one night. Everytime he'll get done. It must be something about my car.. I drive past under cover police, I look at them, then back to the road and they don't do ****.

We're in the clear Jordan.. well atleast in terms of eastern beaches police haha.

Probably a stupid question, but why Commodores?
