Can anyone find me a report on the Pacific Hwy north of Coffs and if there are any closure on the New England Hwy south of Armidale?
My limited reception is becoming a problem.
New England Hwy is fine but Waterfall Way (which you would have used as per Josh's suggestion) is closed in the middle.
I'm not sure how far north of Coffs you are, but the Pacific Hwy is closed mid-way between Grafton and Coffs. I will post up a full report for ya in a sec mate, hang on...
The New England Highway should be used as an alternative for travel between Sydney and Brisbane.
The highway is closed 50kms south of Grafton and is expected to remain closed to all vehicles until midnight. Motorists at the site are being turned back.
Southbound motorists are advised to divert at Grafton onto the Gwydir Highway and then onto the New England Highway.
There is no access to the New England Highway via the Oxley Highway for northbound motorists. Northbound motorists should therefore access the New England Highway at Maitland.
These detours will add at least an extra 3 hours to some journeys. Motorists are advised to be aware of hazardous conditions and the potential for flash flooding in the northern region of NSW.
