EJ's are great for the street (turbo variants), the wrx's and turbo liberty's are a good all rounder. Very hard to beat from a stand still. Lots of other cars do catch up but by then you're breaking every speed limit in force. On a roll they're not so good. STI's do well on track, but you really need 250kw+ to be competitive. Which is so easily attainable with late model EVO's, and you don't have to worry about breaking things. As far as the NA subaru's go, besides the H6. They blow... and their auto boxes are shocking. So slow and un-desisive.

250kw isn't easy to get in an EJ of any size. Its even harder to keep the driveline intact at anything approaching that too. Pete, I have to say I'm not real sure on the late model WRX's. They are slow in standard form. (Comparing to modified is a waste, too many variables). They seem to be a fat comfy poser car now days (No offence pete, Yours was done well.), as opposed to the GC8's. How long to you guys reckon the EJ will be around for? Subaru are already having trouble keeping them CO2 compliant or what ever it is. What do you reckon will happen, a 4cyl Ez?

250kW out of any 4 cylinder isnt easy when comparing to a V8. V8's need what? Full exhaust and some form of intake and a tune to make that kinda power. Does this really matter though. If you happy with the way your car goes, great! Who cares how other engines make there power, aslong as your happy. My 2c P.S. NA EJ's are ****!

QFT :D

And Tristan, I thought you didn't care how your car looked :P

But if your serious - yeah it looks better really dark like that....like Shanes. But I prefer a lighter colour like 'gunmetal grey'. Although I dunno if it'll go well with your tanbark beige colour.

Damn Tristan. I reckon that chop looks the goods. If you can get those rims to look like that, go for it. That gives me a bit of a twinkle in the nether-region so to speak.

I know angel eyes should be reserved for Bimmers but they look pretty damn sexy, IMO. I don't like the black ones but I do like the clear ones :) But wow, those new 55W HIDs are too bright!! Projectors or not - I wouldn't buy them.
