I lived in Paddo near Edgecliff station. Wife wants to move back over there. The median rent is $750 for a 2bed with carpark.
In my area you can get 2beds and carpark for $550-700.
Crows Nest is decent but same price as Edgecliff. I would love to move to North Shore but wife needs to stay in City/East Suburbs.
Zetland/Waterloo area is best bang for buck. New apartments with shops, cafes and restaurants on your doorstep and walkable to City on w/e's and a 10-20min commute on weekdays.

Thanks for the info buddy, just cbf going back a few pages, because Adam lazy.
I saw a place in Edgecliff for about $600 and it sounded good, but was snapped up quick. Wife would rather move somewhere where it is easy for her to walk to places, and not too busy and congested. Have a few friends in Wentworth point, so could check that out as well, but Edgecliff to Wynyard, where new work is, is 10-15min, so that is very tempting. From Rhodes, I'd be looking at 30min on the train, and the rent there is around $580, so not much diff

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money.
