Hey guy's

Yep this will be a slow af build, the old wallet is bone dry

My car has an X-Force twin tip cat-back, but I didn't really like the look of that & went for the spaghetti can on the angel & to release a little more sound

I picked up a diff back section cheap in an X-Force as well which will just have to do for now until I can get something better

Here's the old & new rear muffler

Then I thought I'd hit the rear section of pipe with some hi-temp flat black so it was less noticeable

Then here it is fitted, the bracket that it came with has pretty poor fitment

It sounds better low down now, but I remember my old GC8 sounding a lot better?

Oh well.... it'll do until I can get a HKS or Greddy RS system

Decided to change the parker lights to led's so the headlights were all white lights, what an effort that was for such a simple job! Who designs these things

I also picked up GD STi strut brace thinking it was going to be a simple install but it seems like the WRX a/c line is in a different position than the STi. It was a very tight squeeze, the a/c line is hard pressed against the brace

Before bending

Super tight fitment

I think I better put some rubber in between so it doesn't wear a hole in the pipe

Don't worry about slow mate!  At least you can drive yours!!

White on blue would look good.  Personally I couldn't be bothered keeping them clean and looking good all the time!

But that's me.

Cheers

Bennie

Yeah same... I'll get them 9H coated first if I get them so they're easier to keep clean, my current pads are dusty as!

The slow build is about to get a full rebuild  :D my wallet definitely doesn't like the idea though lol

Seems the previous owner knew of an issue, found out how much it would be to repair & forked it off!

Now it looks like I have to get my engine rebuilt before it shits itself, I'm thinking of going through SubiSolution, has anyone had any experience with these guys?

It was the head gaskets & a cooked block but the block is still usable so I'm getting it rebuilt with larger bearings & Cosworth pistons

The heads are already done & finished, just waiting on parts to come from the US

I was also going to have a VF48 fitted & tuned at the same time but the turbo that I bought from Ichiban is useless, the seals are stuffed & the rear housing has a massive crack through the wastegate port :( so the old turbo will be going back on for now

Get some head studs too.

If the turbo is cooked take it back to Ichiban. Would be very surprised if they didnt refund if it, unless you bought it knowing it was dickered

Engine is finally all back together :) sounds even better now with the Cosworth pistons, a little beefier

Ichiban didn't even bother replying to my message, assholes! So now I have a nice paperweight

It's been too long now & they never gave me a receipt, I just pulled up to the roller door while they were working on some other car & the guy brought the turbo out & just took my cash. I definitely won't go back to them for anything
