Subaru Australia has announced cost-saving extended service intervals for its sophisticated new generation All-Wheel Drive Impreza, and Manufacturer’s List Pricing* from $22,400, making the new technology package ultra competitive in the small car sector.

On sale now and with first customer deliveries due in December, Impreza is the first of Subaru’s future models to be built on the innovative Subaru Global Platform, which offers huge advances in dynamics, efficiency and safety.

Available exclusively with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) Impreza 2.0i sedan will be priced from $22,400 MLP – the same as the superseded model, but with considerable upgrades to specification.

Under the new Impreza Capped Price Service Program (CPS), Impreza service intervals extend to 12,500 kilometres/12 months, compared to 12,500 km/six months for the superseded model.

In the first three years of the CPS, the total cost of servicing new generation Impreza is $1298.19 – representing a significant saving of $918.86 compared to the superseded model.

Subaru Australia Managing Director, Colin Christie, said: “With 95% of Impreza being all new, it’s given us the opportunity to look at new service offerings that represent real savings for owners.

“The Impreza pricing scale is also impressive, especially considering the added specification right across the range.

“The pricing advantage becomes even more significant in upper spec Imprezas, with new features such as EyeSight® driver assist and Vision Assist technology making our small car big on value.”

Mr Christie confirmed there will be four Impreza variants in the range, available in both hatch and sedan, adding a comprehensive list of new features including:

Impreza 2.0i
New generation touchscreen infotainment system featuring:
       o Apple Carplay™
       o Google Android Auto™

Mr Christie said with EyeSight now being featured in 49% of Subaru sales year-to-date (to end of September), uptake of the innovative driver assist safety system in new Impreza would push the tally to well over half of all Subaru sales in 2017 – likely the greatest volume of any brand for such technology.

“With significant incremental value, servicing intervals and potential insurance premium reductions for EyeSight-equipped Imprezas, our small car offering makes a more compelling package than ever before – especially when combined with the fun driving that is at the heart of this new model,” added Mr Christie.

*Prices are Subaru (Aust) Pty Limited’s Manufacturer’s List Prices only and include GST on the list price but exclude dealer delivery charges and all other government and statutory charges.
