I was actually going to apply for a presenter position on the show, I had a good chance with people in the know, however it became apparent for a few different reasons that it was going to be another wheels magazine, don't get me wrong, I like my wheels magazine and have every copy for the last 20 years or so, but just about every second write up is about a bloody falcon or commode, enough is enough, they are crap and everybody knows it, so if this show has fords and holdens coming out it's butthole count me out. Only time will tell if I share my very limited spare time with TGAU as well as TGUK. Paul

You know I reckon the real STIG is Nigel Mansell, seriously, the STIG drives so much like him it's not funny, really. Yes I know, but who wants to drive round a track in a bloody holden or ford, seriously C'mon...... Give me AWD, a Turbo, and a racetrack any day ! Jeeze I am starting to miss super sprints, all this talk now on the forum is really making me home sick, we have to have a track day soon !!!! Paul

Eastern creek has the longest straight, but wakefield raceway is nice to drive too, oran park is a bit pesky. Need a nice airport runway I think, good for driver training, just add water truck :) Paul

mm good idea.. WTB sponsorship so they can pay the expenses of hiring water tankers and a random runway...

Its official - TGAU will be going to air Sept 29th. I would like to send SBS an email with our requests for tickets Sunday evening or Monday morning at the latest as ticket request would be starting to flood in, I'd imagine. Can we agree to a specific date we can all go? Or is it a case of "anytimes good"? Please reply. Interest from: Shiv Dyl OriaDae fatcat Jeff Tristan [add name to list] kthnx ~ shiv

Hang tight as tickets are only just getting out for the filming of the first episode, apparently.

Apparently the waiting list is some 40,000 people long :o And they have a random method of selection. With any luck - we'll get our tickets in time for series 10, haha...

Yey, I got tickets! But NOT the group tickets I asked for. These are for the individual tickets I signed up for before posting the link here.

So I'm going with three mates of mine on the 7th October. Can't wait! It better be good...

I was told that car clubs such as ourselves would get tickets to an episode which features cars that we would be interested in. Fair enough, I thought. And tonights episode had the WRX STI in it and we didn't get tickets for it..... Ah well, its not like TGAU is anything spesh! But still...
