Just wondering if it's best to use recommended tire pressures as per charts inside the car or is there a different variation you've found to be better? I would have thought with these things it's best to go with factory recommendations for safety reasons, but thought I'd ask just incase there is better cornering to be had!

Cheers!

Also pressures change the longer you've been driving as the tyre heats up and ergo the air inside expands. So best to do tyre pressure and top up when cold.

You probably already know this but good for anyone reading the thread for reference.

I've always used the measurements on the placard, +4 psi. That makes 40 psi for my front and 38 psi for my rear if I'm not mistaken.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

I used to go around 40. But now I'm aiming a bit higher at 42 with aftermarket wheels.

I feel like aftermarket wheels are more likely to be damaged if running too low pressure. And the higher the pressure the higher the margin.

Seems like most people drive around on balloons lol

I aim for around 40 warm on the rd...so about 36psi cold

Most lo pro tyres can handle slightly lower pressures with the firmer and smaller side walls

More spirited drives i drop a few psi

On the track 28-30psi hot is where its at for my gear...waaaayyyy more grip

The placard on the 2015 WRX tells me to run ~2psi less in the rear. I thought it was odd for an AWD. Suggested pressure is around 36psi. I tried various combinations with my 245/45R18 RE003.

40 all around, I felt steering was mushy. 42 all around made the ride rougher. The idea is probably to get the rear to absorb some bumps from the shorter wheelbase and relatively stiff suspension. Obviously, the engine weighs more than the rear of the car. I settled on 42 front, 40 rear. It rides better and maintains snappy steering. Tyre wear has been perfect, I had them checked a couple of weeks ago.

36psi cold

Have you put any more thought into squeezing some more power out of the engine. Like strapping on one of those intake fans
