so it had been a while since I have the stainless muffler a Polish and what I found underneath was not there the last time, I haven't got it on anything either.... now the only thing I can think of is when I had the exhaust shop reweld a flange they've had it swing off the hoist and it's landed flush on its tip ... if anyone has a better idea I'd love to hear it!

to my question - can I just cut or remove this tip and have another put on without effecting it's performance?

Thats weird. Never seen one crack like that. Ive had my muffler tip fall completely off and just made it a bit louder. Wont affect anything serious

neither have I which is why I can only figure it happened from a height flush on it. like it swing out unexpectedly or something and they didn't catch it and because it was so dirty you couldn't tell it was cracked..... might cut it off and put twin tips on
