Hi all i have a 2005 wrx witch has had an accident only damage was a tow ball hit the side quaterpanel but dented the chassis and its now unrepairable. I also have an 05 na imprezza and just wondered what i need to change over from the wex to the imprezza for the wrx conversion. Besides gearbox and engine ecu diff break calipers what else is needed to do the conversion ? Anyhelp would be great thanks.

Strip the NA, strip the WRX, put everything (literally everything) into the NA shell

Ok what about yhe body wiring harness i did some reading couple peaple said no its the same others said it has to be changed

Basically you're going to do a shell swap. Take EVERYTHING from the wrx to the NA impreza shell. You won't have any issues with wiring loom rewiring/patches etc.

Should be a good project. 'd way to end the wrx with someone's towbar

Wont be as much as the WRX but more than the NA.

The WRX will have a fuel pump controller and so on in the rear so youll need to swap the entire body harness as well. Could probably leave the lights from the NA but all the wiring and modules and sensors id swap from the WRX

If you're going to sell it have you looked into parting out the WRX?

 

It could be worth more in parts if they're in good condition still.  Someone will have a better grasp of whether this will work or not.

Ok and will i need to get the key reprogramed cause i was gonna leave the ignition barrell and door barells in the imprezza it would make life alot easier if i could

Part out WRX, sell NA = buy another WRX

That was the plan in the begining but the na has f**cked engine cracked piston
