Gen 3 2.5 dont run a maf filter. Put the pod anywhere you want really. Can smash it straight on the end of the throttle body if you want

Barbbachello..you are a champion..:D
I thought I was going mad..couldn’t find a Maf sensor anywhere..
So a U shape piece of piping connector and a straight piece of piping joined to a Pod Filter, facing the inner drivers guard cutout, with the original air box removed would work...yeah?
Reason for it,is I heard the factory air box is pretty restrictive

Factory airbox is fine flow wise up till about 250kw so your NA 2.5 will be fine :) . Pod filter will add noise and thats it

Yep, noise and a defect if it is clearly visible in engine bay.

Go highflow panel filter.

Or put pod in factory airbox if you can.

So do you mean a K&N Panel Filter in original airbox?
Haven’t heard of a ‘Hybrid Intake’ ?
Cheers guys

Yeah, but be wary, oiled filters and boxer engines don't play nice.

Honestly nearly everyone has tried the pod at some point, and found it to be inefficient. Like Barb said, it will give you noise and that's about it. (will normally worsen your fuel economy as well).

But a high flow panel filter in the airbox should help, and then perhaps look at ducting etc. But there is no real need nor reward to mdifying the air intake on the NA EJ.

As above you will not get any gain from this type of filter.

Best bet is to put the money into some handling mods etc.

Add a snorkel :P

4K+ WOT howl is awesome but not good for fuel economy...

The snorkel is also good for water crossings too ;) but probably not good for street cred on a lowered car...

Cheers
