Sorry if the title is misleading, however I own a 2002 Subaru Liberty RX. It currently has the stock non-momo steering wheel on it. I bought a momo one from what I believe to be a 2002-03 Imprezza (100% not from a B4 or Outback).

I have an issue however.

The Airbag module has a different plug that connects to the loom, and I am stumped as to what to do next. Have a look at the photos here:

 That's the NEW wheel there.

The cruise control stalk is no issue, but as you can see, the yellow connector on the airbag module of the momo wheel does not fit the one on my loom already on the car.

My question is, do I have to try and find a matching plug loom from something like a B4 Liberty or Outback with a Momo wheel as I guess they use different looms, or do I try and remove the plug going directly into the airbag and get it to the other one as seen below.

I know that Gen 3 B4 Libertys and some special edition Outbacks Gen 3 came with factory momo wheels with that ugly blue or wood-grain trim on them, so I was also hoping since that's a momo wheel with a similar airbag module to the wheel I'm trying to fit, then it will have the same loom?

I understand if some of this may not make sense, but I need some advice so if you have any questions, please ask!

Cheers guys and have a mad day :)

I pulled the air bag apart and fitted the bag and the inflator from the standard airbag into the momo cover.

Well I suppose you don't know if the airbag works unless you crash aye? Did the airbag light come on and or stay on?

had this issue before ecept other way round best thing to do would be to either change the clock spring or get an air bag from 03 to 04 like the one in the pic personally i wouldn't be taking apart an airbag

So you know about the airbag recall for Subaru right, this is what our techs do every day.

My airbag does bring up any codes in my car.

Like Kong said just swap it bra.
