Seeking a little advice.

I've had my MY11 wide body WRX for a few weeks now and it's an absolute pleasure to drive... except for the audio. It has the Kenwood Nav touchscreen system and all the features are great, there are also 3 RCA jacks in the centre console and I've plugged my iPhone into them to play music, but I can't play video from the iPhone using these. The audio through the RCA jacks is fine, but the FM tuner sound quality is terrible. It doesn't matter what radio station I'm on, the audio will fade and fuzz while I'm driving. But when stationary the FM tuner seems ok, this leads me to believe the FM antennae is giving really poor reception. My car has the little screw in stick antennae (not the shark fin style of the newer models) and after removing and inspecting, it looks clean and like there is good connection between the stick and the mount. So, my questions are:

- Is this a known issue with these Nav/audio units?

- Can anyone recommend a way to boost the signal?

- Is it difficult to remove the unit to check the aerial connection at the back of the the unit?

Thanks in advance,

Dale
