Hi,i have a '97 rs legacy twin turbo.
Idle is very low and surges, sometimes car stalls when stopped.

I have:

Cleaned iacv
Cleaned throttle plate/intake
Reset ecu by disconnecting battery

Anyone have any suggestions?

Got any codes?

Also cleaning the contact points on the throttle position sensor could be worth the effort. Then re-adjust the tps’s setting following the workshop manual.

Thermo fans on all the time? If so, temp sensor is dead ;)

Cheers

No codes, however i disconnected maf sensor while car was running and it didn't die🤔
Does this mean maf is bad?
Thermo fans are all good.
Thanks

Checked plugs? I had the same symptoms intermittently up to the point where it wouldn't even start. Turned out to be fuel fouled plugs from running rich, possibly due to an injector issue (stuck or clogged). Surprised you are not getting any codes though..
