if you have a BG5 factory ECU, you can't retune your car. Sorry. New ECU or piggtback would be the answer.

Yeah just found that out, spewing!!! Anyone know of any good piggyback cpu's??? The other thing would be a link computer which is a full replacement, fairly expensive though

after looking into this rather extensively, i'm afraid you're very limited if at all possible, to fit an aftermarket ECU to a BG5 TT. There's simply way too many sensors and parameters for an aftermarket ECU to handle it correctly. Your best bet would be to scour importmonster, and try to source yourself a replacement aftermarket ecu. they're out there for the GT, but I haven't seen any for a GTB. what you have?

The computer in the tt looks like a standard computer but it has a sard sticker on it, no one realy knows what it is??? Piggyback computer could work with the standard ecu

i have a 96 liberty that has been converted to a 97 legacy, ive had a bit more of a look into this and have found that a piggybak computer will work well, alot of people have used the xede piggybak, others i have found are the e-manage and the haltech, The xede is a bit more expensive at $860 compared to the emanage at $400.

an ecu is only as good as its tuner. i'd be researching tuners more than ecu's.
