The DIY on Rexnet is pretty good because the LED strip is actually integrated inside the assembly itself.

What I've had done is lazy but with similar effect. Mine is glued to the underside of the headlights. It fits neatly in the panel gap between the headlight and the front bumper.

You can buy those LED strips off LED shops online or Bunnings like the bloke off RexNet got his from. The ones I got were of higher quality despite being from China. These ones last longer apparently and so far so good.

Basically if you do it the lazy way like on my car, you just take the headlight off, give the section where your going to paste it on a good clean, measure up the LED strip and cut it to fit the length of the headlight and glue it on. The wire then needs to be spliced to whatever light you want the strip to illuminate in conjunction with. In my case, it comes on with the park lights (and in-turn, the headlights also).

You can pry them apart, just be really careful, from memory there was a rubber seal around them..

For the gen 3 there aren't any space under the light, so i think i have 2 open up the lights to put the LED in, but when i measured it the length i think was about 39-40cm. You guys know whether i can buy a 48cm LED and cut off 8cm and it would still work? Secondly there are line of plastic rubber on the top of the headlight (which stops water getting into 2 bonnet). So the question is do i leave it and just chuck it in the over 2 bake it, or do i have 2 some how remove that plastic rubber lining thingy (if i do, how would one tackle that problem). thanks in advance Chainbar
