Did a quick search on Google and found many topics about skid pan events in almost every other state except SA... Does anyone know if there is such a venue here in SA???

there are a couple of skid pans in sa, but they are all private (mitsubishi secret(not that secret) test track) or the state govt driver training centre at marion. last time (about 5 years ago) the gate was open and if its raining you can risk it and go in for some spins

Yet another thing SA doesn't have.... We are still waiting on a drag strip after 5 or something years.

If your as old as me and can remember back to when Kids would play cricket in the street and skateboarders were a menace on the road then surely you'd have to notice with the advent of indoor cricket and skate parks there is now a safe environment for them to do their activity..... Why not motorists??? I don't get it!!!!
