So, i'm sick of my King springs. After bottoming out about 4-5 times over the MDSC weekend, i'm ready for a change. What are my best options? Do I keep the billies and just get a good set of springs? (sti pinks?) Or do I go the whole hog and get coilovers. What and how much is involved in replacing my current setup with coilovers and what brands would I be looking at? Chanks. (thanks chumps for short). edit: car is a BE series sedan. (from memory)

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

Check out Tein.. cause they sell springs seperately, and pretty cheap too!

Keep the billies, get em re-valved by Heasmans, get set of Teins S-tech (BE5/BH5 doesn't matter). $1350 total (if DIY remove/install)... Well thats what I did and I'm stoked http://www.subyclub....__fromsearch__1

They the only people that do it? Being in the West, it'll cost a bit to get the taken off, sent, done and sent back. What's involved in going to full coilover setup?

Yeah Jai (Martinez) just put some of those tein springs in gen 3 RX with some new KYB's. Access Autos are a Fulcrum re-seller and are the mob selling them cheap on eBay at the moment.

Check if local Bilstein suppliers rebuild aswell as I found a couple (Mel & Toowoomba from memory) said they could do them.

True, plus time off the road would be PITA aswell. Cheapest I could find (when I was lookin) for new billies was bout $1250 (thr. fulcrum).

Don't know bout the c/overs - never looked into it ($$ + insurance, legality etc.) Only advice there is stay away from the cheapies (have read lots of nasty things bout cheap c/overs.).

Thats where I got mine from aswell... good people.

Anyone know if the STI pink springs will slot straight in? I'm happy enough with the billies, just hate the Kings.

Just curious, what sort of kingsprings do you have, lowered or superlow? Ive got lowered, which I think was about 1.5 inches, and i have never had a problem, still performs great! and looks better then stock!

I have no complaints about looks. It's low enough to look alright as far as i'm concerned, its just how it handles that i'm annoyed about. Very bumpy. Other than that, still very happy with height.

Ha, as always valuable feedback Chrissy ;P

Yeah. They're ok for now, cant really be bothered changing them now. I wouldn't get Kings again though for anyone reading this.

No smoke and mirrors here mate! Although I should have explained a little further - Kings are shit, unless you want to dump your Commodore Executive on it's guts.
