Ok so I will soon be getting rid of the boaty grandpa suspention on the sh!tbox and whacking on a set of king lows.... my question is this, is there a prefered strut that I should be using with these? What is the beer flavoured nipples of struts? What will give me best bang for buck? ... and what will get me by on the cheap if I decide to go tight arse. Cheers...mOOse, :drinks:

Ok reeling it back in ... im not after a clan war over who prefers what. I have paid for and will be getting soon a set of King Lows (re read that bit if you need to) and would like to know if there is a more suitable strut that I should be using with these over the stock strut (most probably the same ones since manufacture). I was considering KYB (thank you aurelius) but wasnt sure if just Munnroe,Pedders,AC Delco etc would also be OK? Your answer, Crouch .... touch .... pause .... go !

you've never played with cars much before, have you? Monroe, Pedders, AC Delco (massiv WTF??) throw them in the bin. Then set fire to the bin. Once its gone out. Set fire to it again. KYB is your answer. They're the OEM Manufacturers for Subaru. If you're on a budget, (you've bought king springs) the Excel G struts are the go. If you did a little more research, you'd find that STi struts (very easily had for very cheap from wrx forums) are awesome, and can be had for peanuts. They're rebuildable (usually at home in the garage) and alas, require the wrx spring to suit (not the liberty). Oh, STi struts are made by.....KYB! Not sure which vintage, but up to 02 springs to mind. (next time, buy struts first, then springs to suit! there's a myriad of top hat incompatibilities, even amongst the liberty)

Hazzar to that man ... a noteworthy of post replies. KK so yeah the sh!tbox is just that ... my runabout, but it does need some lovin I guess. I got the springs for $200 so wasnt too woried about what they were realy. Just had to be better than the "slinkeys" that are in there now. I'll go get me some KYB's got a mate that works for Bursons so he can get them trade price for me. Should be spending the money on airbags for my Dodge... but its a ways off before I need them. Cheers - mOOse, :drinks:
