then the epic 1400km journey home started, once at home, it sat in the yard unregistered untill the last weekend in sept, when i finally decided to start something, I completely stripped the shell, only leaving minimal interior components in.
after completely stripping the car, i fabbed up a lower radiator support from 2mm sheet and then welded it in and dressed everything up.
after that, i cut the lip off the front of the radiator support and seam welded the front up and dressed the welds to i could sit the intercooler a bit further back. then I decided to do something a bit different with the front skirt where the intercooler piping comes through.
i cut come 3 inch holes in the skirt then extended them at the top.
I then made up some braces out of 6mm round bar and welded them in. After welding the welds were file finished and dressed to a smooth finish.
then the shell was transported to a local pannel shop , who very generously allowed us to use the premises after hours to prep and paint the car.
we added a few custom touches to the shell, which are as follows:
aerial shaved and all guards pumped by 25mm.
after all body work was completed the car was high filled and blocked down. Next was to mask up the car and paint all the shut pannels which turned out very well. afterthe paint was completed in the shuts and engine bay, the roof was painted. Once the painting was completed on the roof, we moved the car out of the booth and blocked the car again where the paint was over sprayed on to the exterior pannels when the shuts were painted.
We then started final prepping of the body for the paint, all pannels were masked and any holes covered up. We the nwashed the body down with prepsol and srarted painting . As the car is painted in a 3 layer pearl , we laid down a base colour first, then the main colour and finally the clear. after the base coat was laid out, the pin stripe was also masked.
basically the car is just waiting for a cut and buff , then all hands on deck for a 12 day fit up.
huge thanks to all involved so far,

Taylor from Taylor Made Body Craft

I should just convert to single, right?As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;
"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

cheers for the comments guys, the torana is an lx sscoupe, but is being built as an a9x mock up, if you look closly, you will notice that the car actually has the black laid out in the scheme of an SLR, not an A9xVery very nice.
And all that in a few short weeks. Amazing effort.
Nice to see you received a trophy for all your skill and hard work.
Once again a wagon has set the standard.
I spied a red LX Torana hatch in one of the pics.
A9X????
Yes, tragic I know!
