Hey guys and gals, Im in need of some new brakes as my front rotors are worn to their minimum n now have a huge lip on them causing them 2 squeal every now n then... Ive managed to source a complete front setup (rotors, calipers, pads, lines and bolts) from a 2007 Forester for $200 shipped interstate to sydney. Do you think this is a good deal? Let me know ur thoughts

Just emailed him to send me pics 2 see the condition of them... Hopefully he can get back 2 me soon so I make payment and have them asap... Sick of the squeal squeal when im cruising along... If and when I get them, should I do an overhaul on them regardless of the condition?

I think we're talking RX here Tom.

According to the DBA catalouge, from 02 Fozzies had 294mm rotors with 2piston as per B4, and RX has 277mm.

I plan on this if the rotors ever wear out. Be a while though, soft pads and short trips.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

you'll need to visually inspect them before you know if its a good deal. I bought a set of fozza brakes and the one of the bores was forked and needed to get it honed out and resealed. rotors and pads could be worn out too you need to be able to check em out.

+1 FYI minimum thickness of rotors is 22mm.

Finally got a hold of the guy at subiparts... Over the phone he quoted $200 shipped, he said they are in prettty good condition n "thinks" they dont show any wear marks on them... He said he will email me later on let me know the thickness... Stiff chance that will happen... He hung up before I got 2 ask if theres any warranty Now the question is do I get the 07 forester brakes or do get a pair of 97 WRX brakes that ive sourced for $80? In great condition, never been machined, fresh pads... The wrx brakes are the same size as my lib stock brakes...
