Hey guys, A mate of mine has a 93' RS liberty. It has a fair amount of work done too it (He bought it off a RS liberty club member) It's got a 94 rexy engine and it has the water to air still, Sadly. He's going to be winding up the boost with a dual stage boost controller. 10psi for freeway/daily driving. And we are aiming for 15-16 for taking on hektik vl's. We won't be winding up the boost without an intercooler upgrade from the old water to air. Won't be going for a front mount due to being illegal. So where could we source a decent top-mount for the RS? And what would you guys recommend for a uni student on a budget?

IIRC the WAIC can deal with a fair bit of hot air. Unfortunately with RSLC being down, its going to be hard to point to any relevant threads. IIRC again, there was an upgrade to the radiator from the WAIC loop (but I could be talking shit there)

Without fitting a FMIC you dont have any other options, all the bigger JustJap TMIC cores will not fit an RS. The only thing you can fit is an angle mount v2 TMIC and with the piddly scoop on an RS you'll most likely get some detonation at 15psi. Bite the bullet and do the FMIC, no other options.

Righto, I Will talk him into the front mount idea. So we will get the boost controller installed and dial the boost no higher than 14. Until...The FMIC.

You'll probably find he can source a 2nd hand FMIC setup for the same, if not cheaper price than a TMIC.
Oh, and there is nothing wrong with RSLC. Nor has there been for days. I'm on all the time, just no-one else seems to be on.

how the feck did you get on Frank?

I agree with Jimbo. WAIC is not a bad system. Better IMHO than the TMIC that the V2 have, providing the WAIC is in good working order.

FMIC or nothing.

Because I'm a n00b!!!
I'll save up for a FMIC...may take a while, otherwise no higher than 14psi.
PS I'm pretty sure my profile pic is still my old car, aka your car Cammy lol.
