what vehicle do you have? if its a liberty you will need adapters to fit the 2pots on the back. cheaper upgrade for brakes (if you can find them) is liberty GT (05-) or 3.0 (05-) 316mm front 2pots and 290mm rear vented single pot. I picked up a set with rotors and pads from import monster for $450 landed. these are straight bolt on to most models

What car have you got? If you have a TT/B4 with already the 294mm rotors, then changing the front calipers from twin piston to four piston WILL NOT YIELD ANY GREATER RESULTS. Yup. You read right. Four pot calipers won't feel any better than twin pots. So don't waste your money. Take alexxx's advice. What you want is an increase in overall diameter of rotor, to yield any gains. if you're simply after aesthetics, by all means, fit the four pots! Oh. Forget powdercoating calipers. Calipers get too hot. VHT Caliper paint will do the trick.

Trust in Alex... for he is wise :D I have changed the calipers on my B4 to V5 Sti front and rear (4 pot/ 2pot) and I can tell you that they both increase the pedal feel in a positive way (very marginally)however there is absolutely no more braking power on tap after the change. So all in all its basically just aesthetics that are improved. Better pads will yeild better results

Well I put 4 pots on my car a while back and all I can say is that they are fantastic. Good feel/bite but maybe because of better pads. Most of all bling B)

Braided lineswill give you a more positive pedal feel. Upgrading to 4 pots on the B4 is knda useless unless you're dong some track work. 4 pots will provide less fade under extreme braking. Try getting some bendix commercial pads in there as a start, they are pretty grippy.

Can you elaborate a little please (?) may be the beer... but I don't see how.

Wouldn't fade be more contributed to the pads/fluid?

The fluid doesn't cook as quickly in the 4 pots, therefore maintaining more consistent pedal feel. Don't know the exact technicalities, but you can take it as a tried and tested fact that the 4 pots provide no greater stopping power than the 2 pots unless it's on a track over long periods of punishment.

Ive upgraded to '08 GT spec B brakes all round as Alexxx and Alex said above. Great upgrade over my standard 277mm fronts/266mm rears. :D I then fitted slotted rotors and braided lines. The braided lines made a VERY noticeable improvement to the braking. Im still to upgrade the pads as they were brand new on the calipers when purchased. These brakes, good pads and braided lines = :drinks:

GO brembo's like the cool kids on here:) HAI Alex I would try and use what you have at the moment. Best place to start is a set of Bendix ultimates, DBA slotted rotors front and rear. Penrite Dot4 brake fluid and see how you go

Cool kids roll in wagons, Lance ;)

My suggestion.

1) Replace all four brake lines to stainless steel braided. Vsport are Australian Distributers of Goodridge Brake lines
2) Brake Master Cylinder stopper.
3) Slotted Discs (cross drilled is the work of Satan and Pauline Hanson)
4) Decent pads (for a street car, I recommend Lucas pads)

This should yield some win. :)

Out of curiosity, whats the go with insurance/ rego when using braided lines?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

as long as they are ADR compliant its not a worry. of course you should tell your insurer of all modifications to your car...
