Subaru has released a teaser image of the 2011 WRX STI, ahead of the New York Auto Show.
While details are limited, Subaru is publicizing the event as "The wing is back!" More importantly, the image seems to suggest the STI could be offered in sedan form (the current STI is only available as a hatchback).
As the photo analysis from Australian based The Motor Report shows, wither hatch or sedan could be the mystery vehicle. However, in our estimation the sedan seems to match closely up with the teaser image. When they tried inserting a WRX hatchback into the image, the body contours matched very closely, but the wing didn't match the contours of the sheet.
Regardless of whether or not the STI will come in sedan form, it will debut alongside the facelifted 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX.
