whiteline make good quality upgrade sway bars for liberty. any whiteline dealer will have or can get in easily the bars for your car. Pedders, Repco, Bursons and Autobarn are all dealers or find out if any Melbourne members have any local hook ups. sway bars don't seem to come up for sale second hand as often as say strut braces

Depends on your defintion of cheap. I get good WL prices and will be getting a rear sway for my Gen4 wagon when the suspension arrives shortly.

Yep that's about what I paid for that same model. Best mod i've ever done. If you can - spring the extra $$$'s for the rear sway bar at the same time.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

You'll get significantly better handling getting a sway bar (under the car) than you will with a strut brace (under the bonnet).

yeah mate, as alex said, that's a strut brace not a sway bar. strut braces that fit GC8 impreza wrx also fit gen 1, 2 and 3 liberty's. There plenty available on ebay if you have a look around http://shop.ebay.com...-All-Categories BUT as both Alex's have said, a sway bar will make a much more significant improvement to drivability than a strut brace does that being said a strut brace also helps so isn't a waste of money

Good question.

And actual budget would be helpful.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

lol, not speed i doubt i can go that fast down here in mel, just need something to help with the handling, i like to turn corners abit more than i should. so i think maybe i should give the strut brace ago. prince around 100 pushing 150 what u think, a bar the does the job is enough for me atm. quite tight on budget, need that tax return quick. j

Ive got cusco sway bars and strut bars on my gen 3. Personally I dont think you will feel a huge difference unless your taking corners pretty hard. Probably would work alot better when lowered.
