As I mentioned in the GT, I have attempted to make an 'Ultimate Sandwich' - these are known as a Shooter's Sandwich, a dish that finds its origins in the early Edwardian period (Early nineteen hundreds). It is a bit like a Muffaletta, which is a Mediterranean dish usually using cold meats like salami and the like. This is definitely the hearty English version.
All you need if you want to have a crack at this at home is;
Structure;
1 x Cobb loaf
2/3 x Scotch fillet
Filling;
350g x Mushrooms (Field are sooo tasty)
150g x Bacon
Full bunch x Spring Onion
To cook/taste;
Butter
Dijon Mustard
Parsley
Salt 'n Pepper
--- I also did a second sandwich made with Potato filling instead of the Mushroom mix. We're not a cooking forum, so I won't go into the whole thing unless someone really wants me to. Here are the images, they kind of speak for themselves...

Had to squish them underneath an upturned coffee table to keep even and decent weight over night;
And here is the result; not like I'm excited about it or anything...
