Kind of desperate - my sway linkage has committed suicide (see below) and I need to replace it. Whiteline make an off-the-shelf part that will work however they won't have any in stock for at least 2 weeks.

My question is - the Whiteline sway linkage kit is significatly different to the Nolathane kit. Are they the same and will they work on my B4? The Nolathane kit doesn't specifically say that it will worth with the B4, however they suit the BE/BH model libs.

They both look very different , the one from Nolathane looks like a racing type. Whiteline make that type also. I have my links from AVO here in Melb that look exactly like the W/L ones you pictured still in my garage if you want some pics ?

If they do the job then yes please. Also links to website/company/way to buy them? Are they stronger than the piece of crap standard ones?

My car is pretty much off the road till I get it sorted, which is very uncool!!...

Those nolathane ones will fit... there the same as the W/L "bushed" links KLC32

As you've already found out it's not easy to find parts listed just for the B4 but most wrx parts of the same year fit. i've got the adjustable links in the AVO site
but i buy all my Parts thru Adam @ Tuspeed who can sometimes do even cheaper and knows his stuff also.

Ring Adam tell him what car you've got , than decide if you want W/L or AVO then solid or adjustable ends like mine and he'll know which part to order.
Also i would stay away from the Spherical type as i've heard they get very noisey . I also mentioned this to Adam.

If he can't help you try Avo themselves if not get back to me.

So, just to be clear - the above pic of my car, as you can see the nut is missing (presumed dead) and it's wrecked the thread, so I need to replace that whole linkage. Are the two products i've posted above be suitable to replace that linkage?

Nolathane also do THESE (42790) same as the w/l ones you pictured (just don't look as pretty), cost me bout $75 for all 4.

Phew! The Whiteline guy rang around a heap of dealers and found me one at MRT in sydney! The price was more or less the same (ex. freight) --- i was sort of holding my breath while he was working out the price... Overnight to Perth I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DRIVE IT THIS WEEKEND!!

Most of the rest of my suspension'y bits are whiteline, so thought i'd stick with the same mob.

Will report back.

FYI: They were about $170 for the fronts :/

Damn. Too late. Was going to say. Don't buy the Whiteline ones. They commonly fail. The bushing fail, allow water inside the internals, and they create a lot of racket... they creak and groan a lot. Many people have had this happen to them, and its a well documented problem. Perhaps a search would have yielded results? But I'm sure you actually did a search here, and other subaru forums..... With yours, provided the link's bushing was still tight, you should have merely just gone over the thread with a die. Thread would be as good as new. A new nut to replace it, and you could have had it fixed next to nicks. Well. Under five bucks for sure! If the link was fubared, the AVO would have been the best and most appropriate choice. Followed by a Subaru (STi) item. That there is an STi item. You have alloy arms. That's STi Regardless, hope it works out for you. Alex
