Aaron ran his Gen 2 V2 STI converted Liberty at the Envy Imports/Sydney Car Scene dyno day today. If it wasn't for a slipping clutch he could have squeezed out a few more

^^^ Was wondering about the FMIC and TMIC thing too. FMIC mounted, but no piping done yet? The Outback wheels look aiet on it.

2002 Outback - it's gone...

haha yeah he's mounted the cooler but hasn't got to finish the piping yet. He was worried that people at the Dyno Day were going to think he was just rocking an interfooler

Without trying to sound like a kent, but I'm somewhat speculative of those figures. 168kw with a TMIC? Don't get me wrong. Aaron's car is a solid performer, with a healthy motor. But that figure is ridiculously unbelievable, and I wouldn't trust Envy's dyno for shit.

my old wagon did 166kw at ESP with v3 top mount. two 155kw runs with the bonnet up then a 166 with some water poured on it and bonnet down hah.

v3 cooler is a fair bit larger than the v2 though i must add.

no worries mate :) i guess the thing is, what dyno can you trust 100%? no matter where you go, someone will always dispute the reading. right or wrong, there are always people who say this dyno is up, this dyno is down and so on. i guess it is what it is. Maybe when everyone is back up and running 100% we can look into doing another day somewhere that people "trust" more. I think the better comparisons are between cars all done on the same day at the same dyno anyway

Congrats Aaron, as long as you're happy, and your AFR's are healthy - what more is there to worry about? You can get your FMIC done and anything else and go back to envy and then see the improvement they all make - at least you have a base reading now. Looking forward to hitting dyno up with you as well Aek! Gonna be mad !

A/F is a little on the lean side, thats probably why it made the power it did. using standard v2 sti ecu i take it?

my dyno with v3 sti ecu/v3 top mount/vf35. dyno's can read up to 1 AFR lower because the sensor is stuck in the tailpipe where the gases are post cat converter and a lot cooler. are you running a boost controller?

Just looking through Zoom issue 153 and noticed that there is a picture of this car on the dyno. They called it a B4 though..
Page 92 if anyone is interested.

Cheers Jesse
