Not really, as the coolant heats it expands and overflows, also air bubbles coming out. With a bottle screwed into the top it would just return when the coolant cooled. ;) ;) *edit* providing you don't completely fill the bottle after the tank is full :D

I'd say he's using it as a funnel... I'm just wondering if it would screw into the header tank (or fit tight enough) to prevent overflow.

Spot on someone has some working brain cells on this forum. I wrap some masking tape around the the top so it fits tight into the header tank. You get a little spillage but I just keep the bottle about a third full all the time.
