Just bought a GTB front cut with 96K on the clock as my Heritage died last week =[

Im pretty sure its a GTB, as it has the 7.5k redline & the orange sticker on the AFM?

Eitherway I will find out tommorrow when it arrives and check the Engine codes!

Im hoping everything will plug straight in - It's MY98 and my heritage is MY98 too.

Will let you know how the conversion goes, and finally be able to join in on the meets & cruises!

Cheers

Dylanf and I asked Al a few years ago whether the loom from a GTB would plug straight in to the rear harness from an AUDM RX. He said there was still a lot of splicing to be done... Hope for your sake there isn't. Good luck with it all!

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

I just called Allan (Al) at Amauto, he seems to think everything will plug in with little to no modification needed.

I plan to start asap, as its my daily driver and I need a car so hoping to get it done in the next 2 weeks.

Im sure there will be some headaches, but will see how we go.

That's good news indeed! There's always some headaches but it's worth it in the end :D

Changed my mind and just bought another front cut from Ichiban.

V5 JDM WRX

It comes with a VF29 Turbo, EJ207 engine and 4.44 gearbox apparently?.. TY754VBAAA & EJ207DW1KE

So if anyone is looking for a GTB front cut, hit up me or my brother Scott.

I shouldnt have rushed into it, Lol car is getting delivered next week and now the garage is clean, I can get started straight away!...

will put up some pics and updates of the conversion shortly!

Correct.

That cut is a GTB Cut. EJ20R.

If you're interested in separating the speedo cluster from the cut, I'd be keen.

I notice it was an auto, make sure you change your gearbox cross member...All of it!

Dont know if you already knew that, but i had a half manual half auto cross member fitted by the previous owner which caused me all sorts of headaches when i had to replace the gearbox. (had to do it twice to find out why my car was shaking so violently)

Now that's a familiar sight.
Why'd you take the loom out with the engine still in? It's about 1000x easier to feed the loom back into the cabin with the engine out.

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

its not a turbo motor so the loom is easy as anyways, and loom needs to be at amauto
