yeah it did... if your happy with the twins and the heads are good a ej207 (sti) short block will get you out of trouble.

Then again 190+atw on pre-flogged internals might have something to do with it too...

I highly recommend Ichiban, great to deal with.. recently bought my frontcut from them.

They also offer warranty and compression test & start/run test all the engines before they will sell them.

When I went in they started it up, let me poke around and inspect it & everything.

i agree - if you are happy to stay TT, just get an EJ207 bottom end, new oil/water pumps and timing belt, and a gasket kit. re-use your heads, etc. the lower compression of the EJ207 should reduce the chance of pinging, too.

if doing a single turbo conversion and your bottom end is gone - replace the whole lot. if you want to DIY you could even get Al from AM Auto to modify your loom to suit the imported engine.

I can get you (or anyone else that wants one) a brand spankers EJ207 short block for $2500 freighted to your door via TNT.
Tuspeed has them for $2700 - http://www.tuspeed.c...roducts_id=1708
RRP on them is $3300.

Price is the same on an EJ257 too.

2002 Outback - it's gone...
