Thanks for the offers lads, we might have to organise a mech and tech day in narnia soon? The main thing at the moment is the cost of a few parts and tuning. Once the tunes done it's pretty straight forward. I need to change headers, up pipe, turbo, dump and exhaust, re-route fmic piping, mount battery properly, change clutch slave cylinder, re-route catch cans, wire in projectors, wiring in jdm boot, wire in new gauges, put on ganadors, change shifter, mount power steering resouvour and coolant overflow tanks. Power tune. Finito

Lol that is a good point. I'll be in the market Feb/March next year, so I'm hoping someone's immaculate beast (within budget) pops up!

yeah but i also need about 5k worth of "other" bits and pieces to finish it. technically i could actually "drive" it now even without the tune but but really advisable
