Hi,

I know I'm not a G3, but my brace made turn in on the gravel a lot better. I was able to whip nuts much easier after the install.

Cheers,
Nik

Strut braces don't really make much of a noticeable difference on anything, unless the chassis is like a bag of snakes to begin with..

Thanks yeah, thats still pertinent. Sounds similar to the difference it made on my Gen2. But mine was carbon fiber y0 :P

Hi,

Strut brace made a noticeable difference for someone that constantly drives on gravel.

Cheers,
Nik

I noticed a bit of a difference after installing mine Shiv. Noticed that it flowed into corners rather than pushing against them.
I can't notice it anymore though. Some sway bars I'm sure would really compliment it.

Yeh its only subtle aye...

I took the H6 for a fang last night to test out the new xenons, and also because I just felt like a late night drive. Woah she screams like a bitch in the corners haha...my new brake pads started smoking also LOL! And I wasn't even going that hard! She makes me feel like a hoon.

But unless I can get a s.brace as cheap as yours (wanna sell? :D)I won't bother because next I want to get a CAI and exhaust system fitted to unlock more of that VTAK, heheh...

Nik, what difference does the surface make?

The brace is very very subtle, kind of useless with no other mods done too.

Hi,

Sway bars were added a week before, but then once the strut brace went on I felt a difference in turn in on the loose surface. Maybe it's all in my head, but after ten years of driving on gravel roads I should have a small idea about how differences effect the handling of a car.

Not to pollute Crackman's thread, we can continue in the GT.

Cheers,
Nik

Considering i've only done 25kms since i got the car delivered to my house it's a little hard to
tell how much difference either mod has mad but i can say i have notised A difference.

The only thing annoying me ATM is the noise coming from the fan for the aircon and heater in the dash.
Something definitely not right there as it's noisy as hell when on 3/4 and full.

The car is so different from the Rex and B4 it takes a whole new mindset to get the car smoothly thru
a round about lol but i'm getting there.
Nothing left to break .

Is the engine in yours EZ30R ? cause those headers look meant for the EZ30 IMHO, not having actually seen it myself, but I think EZ30 has the big single slot for exhaust outlet, but EZ30R has 3 ports which may make a difference for headers.

Tristan would know, I just haven't taken mine off yet :-(

Oh yeah, nah I meant the single port heads! (remind me of the old holden red 202 with a shared port for cylinders 3&4)

I could imagine how pathetic the rest of the exhaust would be though. It will sound strange I would think too.

Changed the RSB recentlyto a thicker shelby one and has made a fairly good improvemment. i was amazed at how
tiny the stock RSB was , looks about 8-10mm haha. Equally suprising was the thickness of the front sway bar ,20mm i think
as it's just smaller than my 22mm whiteline bar i was going to put on.

When my tyres are due i will put on the 01 WRX rims i have sitting in the garage with some 215x55's to keep the speedo
in check , this will allow me to put the wrx 4 and 2 pots with braided lines on that i have sitting around also.
Nothing left to break .

Remember they torsional strength of the sway bars will differ as well. Diameter isn't everything.

I'll take a photo of the stock one when i get a chance , i reckon Homer Simpsons old man
has more torsional strength than this one.
