Can anyone confirm what the differences are between a TZ102YBAAA and TZ102YBABA.

I believe they are the same gear ratio of 4.44 and suspect that the BAAA version is just an older gearbox.

The car originally have a BABA on the car and i can source a BAAA from the wreckers but just want to make sure that this will not cause any issues.

Here are some codes i found

TZ102YBAAA is the transmission code on JDM Legacy Twin Turbo's and it is a 4.444 final ratio.

05\93-04\94 - TZ102YBAAA
05\94-05\96 - TZ102YBABA
12\95-07\97 - TZ102YBCBA
06\97-11\98 - TZ102YBDBA

Looks to me like its just an older model, should work fine.
