G'day

By the look of this part of the forum not many people on here own the older ones (dunno why they are some of the best) :)

Is there anyone out there who has got a brumby or 83-84 sportswagon with an EA81 in it???
I have heard stories of the intake manifold being quite restrictive? Does anyone know anything about this??
Any help would be good :)

Cheers

we've got one or two or three :P, they were never really designed for power i guess. i know you can get a dual carby manifold for them, or a 32/36 webber carby. their used in lightweight aircraft though, so some people do make some decent power out of them..

I had a 32/36 on my EA82.

240hp out of an EA81?

Holy crap. That'd be one lightweight aircraft I wouldn't want to board!

With the inlet manifold, you could go custom, but there's other restrictions, namely the siamese exhaust ports.

Fun little motors none the less!
