Just a quick question.
I got a mates mate whos just bought a gen 1 rs. It's got wrx heads, sti turbo and a 3 inch exhaust.
At the moment its runnin at 14 psi. Do you think this is too much for the engine??

bah she'll be fine mate, as long as he has the supporting mods itll be fine.

biggest limiting factors will be fuel pump and coils. Make sure they are upgraded!

indeed it isn't the block that is the limitation here.

i wouldn't say just that alone, alexxx. close decked block doesn't really come into its own until you start rebuilding ;)

the fuel pump, injectors and coils (as mentioned by jimmah). But yeah, I'm adding the pissy 380cc injectors.

don't go much more than this.

Jim and Alex speak the truth! With the said performing mods it'll run that amount of boost no worries.

14 psi is fine.. that's all day everyday boost levels..

In saying that, regular servicing and general maintenance will be the key to the engine lasting, and not constantly driving it like it's stolen..

I had my B4 on 20+ psi all day
