The new beast has had a shimmy/shake on the steering wheel above 90kmh since i brought her home. Got all
4 wheels balanced which helped a little but has persisted and is giving me the shits.
I even put on the spare set of rims to isolate the issue and although it has helped again the shake is still there
and seems to rear it's head when i hit a bump on the freeway.
Only thing i haven't done is a full 4 wheel align.
What else could be causing this issue?

Also how the fork do you edit the heading cause i can't spell ?
Nothing left to break .

my steering wheel used to shake when braking at higher speeds. The brakes were sligtly warped and needed to be machined. dont know what it would be if its shaking when your not braking though

Could be the rubbers on the Tail-shaft.. (near the Centre bearing)

When I had my new exhaust put on the mechanic changed the washers as the stock rubbers were completely warn away.

Steering wobble & vibration completely went away =]

Either that or munted bushes.

I had a bit of a wobble through the wheel under brakes on my Liberty and it ended up being the bushes.

Check:

Bushes (all of them)
Bearings
Discs
Tyres (damage, abnormalities)
Wheels (buckles, lost weights)
Driveshafts/tailshaft.

First of all, you get down on all fours. Then you roll onto your back. Then you scoot yourself UNDER (Yes under, it won't fall on you) the car and HAVE A LOOK.

Thanks dude, thats the part that was definately holding me back.

I can see my bushes so they must be okay.

Do you contribute anything other than insults to this forum?

Hi,

As annoying as he is, and yes, he is very annoying, the first eye check is always a good one. Give them a bit of a tug and see how they are acting with regards to play, etc.

Being a Subaru, I would have said wheel bearings personally. Consistent with being speed related.

Cheers,
Nik

Well the bushes are going to be cracked/split if they're knackered. So if you went and looked instead of get all sooky you'd be set by now.
