Hello guys,

I've been trying to find some info about what wheels I can fit on my suby RS 2006. Searching on google I found this website and it sounded very good so I decided to make an account and post hehe.

Would you guys help me to find nice wheels for my car? Whats the biggest size I can fit in my car without having to make any modification?

Thanks in advance.

Haha welcome mate.

Subaru rims are 5x100 stud pattern and +55 offset so match that and you'll be fine.

I will suggest sticking with OEM wheels though. All Suby rims will fit (bar STi). Ebay always have stock rims flying around so keep your eyes out

It all depends wat style you want.

As morgan said stock offset is +55 but u can probably go as low as +45 or +48 depending on width of rim and tyre profile/width. Is ur car lowered? All these factors will come in handy.

I was using 215/40 18 on a 7" rim +45 with a my car being really low without probs but as soon as i went up to 225/40 18 i had guard/lip rubbing issues n had 2 get them rolled which u wanna try n stay clear of but if you have to get them done, get them done professionally by someone with a roller...

If u dont know anything about offset or what the numbers on your tyres mean/stand you need to a some more research on that if u want ur ideal wheels. Most wheel/tyre shops will get it right though but u cant trust them entirely coz they just want your cash...

this is a good thing to start with

Hi Rene, welcome to Suby Club.

Well there are many variables when choosing wheels. I guess the most relevant of which is offset then price. There are MANY MANY decent wheel brands out there using many different constructions from cast alloy, semi solid forged and fully forged and are priced accordingly.

What do you want from your wheels? Are they just to dress up your car or are you a motor sports enthusiast? Many things to consider before making your choice and many different recommendations depending on your requirements. There are decent wheels in say 17" priced from around $800-$5000 so without details it's like asking how long is a piece of string. I don't know anyone who's had b.boss so can't comment unfortunately

The pcd and offset have all been covered above.

good luck with the search! :)

if the RS has same body as the wrx (not sure on the guards?) the biggest/widest combo you will fit comfortably is 18x8.5 +44 offset. that's what i am running and it would be silly to try and fit any larger underneath the guards. esp running 235/40/18s.

Thanks for the replies people. I appreciate it.

Well, Since I bought the car I wanted to get nice wheels mainly for looks. And I had a puncture the other day on one of the tyres and went to the tyre shop and they said I need to get all tyres cus they are pretty bold, I knew I had to change them anytime soon tho.

So I decided that because I have to buy a set of tyres, I would also get a set of wheels. Id like nice wheels, that look good but also good wheels that won't break or peel and will do the work as the stock wheels do. Have in mind that I drive roughly, sometimes fast driving and fast corner turns. So i'll need something that will keep a good car stability.

I don't know much about brands and/or specs, not sure what the offset is and stuff like that. So I'll start doing a bit of a research. But your help guys is always welcome.

Do you guys recommend any brand that are not too expensive and good quality? I don't want to spend more than 2.000 for the set of tyres and wheels.

Thanks very much.
